Gerry Tait, a sales and conversion copywriter in Ontario, Canada, is seen smiling behind a bunch of pink and gold confetti.

I don't just write your copy.

I help you connect with your ideal clients.

And I fucking love doing it.

Gerry sits backwards on a wooden chair, smiling at the camera with her arms crossed.

Believe it or not, writing words is like 30% of my job.

I’m not one to make assumptions or throw generic copy together. I spend most of my time researching and strategizing. Because when I get stage 5 clinger on your business (in a really non-annoying way), I understand who you really are and what you really do for your clients.

I want you to love your copy and see the strategy behind it. So that you can talk about your offers with more confidence than my 7 year old singing “Cruel Summer”.

My superpower is taking your business brain dump and turning it into strategic messaging and “OMG that’s exactly what I was trying to say!” copy.

You'll probably hear me say:

Words Matter.

And they should be used to accept, affirm, and support people and their lived experiences.

This is a judgement-free zone.

Come as you are, share your ideas, and know that I’m listening with open ears.

Fuck That Shit.

I’m not about doing things the way they’ve always been done. I’m about creating a way forward that makes sense for you.

What feels right for you?

Yes, I kinda do this for a living. And at the same time, it will always be your business.

Long story short, it started with a Coffee Crisp commercial.

Long story slightly longer? I’ve always wanted to be a writer and I've always been into marketing. As a kid, I recited commercials by heart, sang jingles (poorly), and knew every product’s tagline. I studied Communications in university and started my career in a marketing agency earning approximately zero dollars.

And then I saw behind the curtain.

Nobody actually cared about their customers and clients. It was all big brands and corporate dudes and self-serving sales strategies. I wanted out, stat.

A winding professional detour took me through health care, full-time parenting, and childbirth education and support. I felt ethically sound in my work. But also creatively zapped.

So, I started writing again, but this time from a place of connection and real-ass humanity. I wanted marketing to feel safe, supportive, and FUN. I wanted to tell stories, build real relationships, and approach selling as the service it is. I wanted to do marketing differently.

And now, I get to help other business owners do the same without ever stepping into a pair of hard pants. Pinch me!

My vibe is

Overusing the
word “vibe”

Bringing
the snacks

Riding in the
passenger seat

Telling
the story

Going against
the grain

When I’m not typing, you’ll probably find me:

  • Telling my dog how beautiful he is

  • Playing Uno with my kids

  • Lifting heavy shit at the gym

  • Watching reality TV in bed

  • Plotting my next cup of coffee

"The whole process felt really supportive. Not only did I get so much clarity on my own offer, but after working with Gerry, I feel like my confidence and my passion for the service I provide has amplified."
